Bognor Regis and Littlehampton Conservatives have chosen Diana Thas as their candidate in the forthcoming Arun District and Bognor Regis Town by-elections for Marine ward. The by-election has been called following the sad death of Cllr Jim Brooks.
Diana is a young, ambitious busineswoman, running her own business whilst also raising her three children. As a business-owner, Diana feels the damaging impact of Labour’s increased taxes, which will mean more money paid out in National Insurance, and more money paid out in business rates. Conservatives understand that we need to back business to create jobs and bring prosperity to our area, which is why Conservatives understand just how damaging these increased taxes are.
As her family live in Bognor Regis, Diana’s children go to school locally. Understanding that there is a risk to residents from dangerous driving, Diana volunteers on a crossing outside a local school to protect children and other pedestrians. One of Diana’s key campaigns is to see improved safety for children outside our local schools so all pedestrians can get around safely.
At the general election last year, Alison Griffiths was elected as the new MP for Bognor Regis and Littlehampton, taking over from Sir Nick Gibb. Since then, Alison has taken every opportunity to champion our area. She is constantly out meeting local residents, charities and businesses, and speaking out in Parliament on issues you’ve told her matter: tackling sewage discharges, supporting our pensioners and backing businesses.
Alison knows Diana will always stand up for Bognor Regis:
Diana is a committed local businesswomen who knows the challenges Bognor Regis faces. Diana will be an excellent councillor for Bognor Regis as she lives locally, her children go to school here, and she runs her business in the town centre.
