The final of the Cricket World Cup was watched by many of us but did you know of the local connection to England's newest fast bowler.  When Jofra Archer first arrived from Barbados he spent his first two seasons playing for Middleton Cricket Club before joining the Sussex squad at Hove. So it can be claimed that our friendly community played a small part in his development as a fine cricketer.
