Cllr Guy Purser moved to Arun from Hertfordshire in 1986 and, with his family, has been resident in Aldwick since 1999. After starting his career in the Lord Chancellor’s Department, Guy moved into commercial billing, credit and debt management at Southern Water, Project Management and Logistics at the Office for National Statistics and then into Business Management, Business Compliance and Health and Safety in local industry. Guy holds a BA (Hons) in Human Geography, has three children, six grandchildren, and enjoys a love of history, amateur radio, all music (particularly opera, and especially Mozart!) as a trained musician, reading, gardening, DIY and philanthropy.

Guy was first elected as district councillor for Aldwick West in 2023.
